CHAMBERLAIN RELEASE FOR DOWNRIGGERS
BY NORTHERN STRIKE- Available in Regular and Stacker models
First, the vertical adjustment (rod side) is unique in that it allows the fisherman to put extra downward pressure (loading the rod) against the release while fishing. This is critical because the instant a fish trips the release, the slack between the rod and the fish is removed more quickly. This gives the fisherman an almost instant hookup.
Second, the horizontal adjustment (fish side) is very sensitive and needs only a small adjustment each time to achieve a precise setting. Fisherman should start out on a light setting and adjust the release until the exact setting is reached for that particular lure. The Chamberlain release is so sensitive that when properly adjusted, it can take only ounces of extra drag (caused by small fish, debris or even a strike) to release the line.
We also carry the Stacker model. The Chamberlain Stacker has the same patented two adjustment designs as the original release, with the added convenience of the ability to attach to your down rigger cable. It has an internal locking cam to hold it in place, and will automatically unlock from the cable when release contacts down rigger pulley. The Stacker allows you to run two rods off of one downrigger.

I’ve tried many different releases that various manufacturers all claim to be the best. After using the Chamberlain release it’s without question the best release on the market. The two adjustments really allow you to fine tune the release and adjust to accommodate any trolling speed, depth and lure or bait. Wouldn’t you se anything else !
By far the best release on the market. It will not let you down, even on the small bite.
