OKUMA CEDROS LOW-PROFILE BAITCASTER REELS

Baitcasters aren't just for largemouth bass. You'll see plenty of guides and anglers turning to baitcasters when chasing reds in the Gulf or calico bass on the West Coast. The reason is simple: long casts, fast retrieves and accuracy. With that in mind, Okuma Fishing Tackle introduced the all-new Cedros low profile, high-speed baitcast reel, for both right- and left-handed anglers.

The new Cedros fills a need for a premium, low-profile baitcasting reel constructed to meet angler's inshore saltwater fishing needs — namely strength, corrosion resistance, fluid handling, line capacity and a drag system that's up to the challenge of the largest inshore species.

Cedros low-profile baitcast reels are built using Okuma ALC construction featuring Okuma's T480 aluminum frame along with aluminum right and left sideplates for precision alignment, long-term durability and corrosion resistance. Okuma T480 aluminum alloy stands up to 480 hours of saturated salt spray, a period that takes standard aluminum to the point of catastrophic failure due to corrosion. The sideplates are further enhanced with Okuma's TCT, or Titanium Coating Technology. TCT chemically bonds vaporized titanium particles to the aluminum sideplates, creating a finish many times more durable than paint. At the center of the core is the machined and anodized spool, cut from A6061-T6 bar-stock aluminum.
